Purdue freshman forward Vince Edwards sat out Purdue's win against Rutgers due to concussion symptoms.
Edwards' status for here on out is unknown, as Purdue preps for important road games at Ohio State and Michigan State, respectively.

Coach Matt Painter said following the Rutgers game that Edwards continues to experience headaches and dizziness after catching an A.J. Hammons elbow during a blockout drill in practice earlier in the week. Those symptoms must clear before Edwards can be tested for a concussion, Painter said. The coach added it is hoped the freshman can be tested Friday morning.
Edwards, a leading candidate for the Big Ten's All-Freshman team, has started all but two games this season and averaged 8.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Basil Smotherman started in Edwards' place against Rutgers and scored a career-high 17 points in 35 minutes.
