Memphis Trezevant defensive end Tijaun Mason committed to Purdue Monday during an unofficial visit to West Lafayette, he told GoldandBlack.com.

"I committed because I feel like Purdue is home to me," Mason said. "I liked everything: the coaching staff, the academics, the facilities."

Mason had previously said that he would commit as soon as he visited, per his coach's request.

He followed through with that plan Monday.

"I loved it," he said.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound pass-rusher said he chose the Boilermakers over offers from N.C. State and Eastern Kentucky.

Mason joins quarterback Griffin Alstott as Purdue's two 2017 commitments.
