Purdue: Damaged playing floors need to be replaced

Mackey Arena's playing floor and Holloway Gymnasium's floor will be replaced due to weekend water damage, Purdue spokesman Tom Schott said Monday morning.
A water main break that occurred in the early morning hours Saturday damaged the facilities.
Schott said on Sunday the cause of the water main break would be investigated, but that the accident was connected to the football training center project going on on the opposite end of Purdue's athletic complex corridor off Northwestern Ave.
As of Monday morning, there was no further information available regarding the timeframe for these projects to come.
Insurance is expected to cover those projects' costs.
